Well, here we are, about to celebrate another Christmas! I have such fond memories of Christmases past. My parents were not believers. I became a Christian a few months before the Christmas of my senior year in high school. Rather timidly I asked my dad if he minded if I read the Christmas story from the Bible before we opened our gifts. I think totally stunned, he said sure! September 14-16, several agency heads associated with the Fellowship of Missions once again enjoyed a wonderful time of both spiritual and physical refreshment at our annual FOM CEO Retreat, held this year in the beautiful Alpine community of Helen, GA, better known as “Georgia’s Alpine Village.” We enjoyed lovely accommodations at Best Western Plus, two delicious buffet dinners and a pizza party @ Papa’s Pizza. I apologize for telling you that we acted just like kids! Devotional speakers this year were Dr. Keith Davey and Chaplain John Ahern, Missions to Military, and Maynard Belt, FOM president. Singing, sharing, testimonies, praying and getting to know each better is always a highlight of each FOM CEO Retreat. [Read more…]
